Craft Shows

Hello everyone,
It has been a long time since I have been involved in our group, so I thought I would just check in.

I was hoping to find out about some up and coming art/craft shows for the Denver metro area for this fall. If anyone knows of any please let me know.

And for those also interested, I am doing the one at the Westminster Rec. Center in Dec. it is called the Santa Workshop. It is geared towards children and being able to afford to buy gifts for their family and friends. All items for sale are $8 and less. I believe registration is either at the end of this month or the beginning of Sept. I will keep everyone posted.

Also, my job holds a craft show every year closer to the holidays and we are trying to change it up a bit this year and allow outside crafters to join in. It would be one day only on a Friday and there would be a booth donation of $25 or more to join, which goes to a charity that our company will match dollar for dollar.

Hope to hear from some of you soon as the holiday are right around the corner.

I'm just in the FootHills Holiday Art Mart in Golden and the Boulder Handweavers Guild sale - both in December, but I think the time to join either has passed.
Does anyone know how I can get my shop listed on the side of this blog? I've been in the Yahoo groups for a while now.

Hello!
My name is whitney. I live here in town and I run a couple of my own successful etsy businesses.

I'm trying to find out if local crafters/artists would be interested in participating in a local holiday craft show.

Based on the information I receive I may or may not follow through with this idea.
Ideally, I'd love to have the show in downtown fort collins. I have a couple ideas for locations but any suggestions are welcomed.
I'm thinking one day long ~ maybe 10-7 or something like that.
I'm thinking December ~ no official date yet.

I want the show to be etsy-esque with lots of local crafters selling wonderful things.
There would be heavy emphasis on Local, Handmade, and the benefits of shopping both for the holidays.

There will be NO emu oil, NO tupperware, NO pyramid scheme faux-handmade goods.

You will have a booth space and are free to decorate however you wish. You will need to supply your own tables, props, lighting etc.. ~ I'm thinking 8x10 or 10x10-ish

Last but not least I'd need to charge about $140 per space.

Would you be interested?
Would you pay the fee?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Feel free to email me at whitney@luckymebeads.com

I think colorado has a wealth of talent and there is a serious lack of good craft shows around here. I'd love to help change that!

Thank You for your time and if this comment was annoying in any way I am sorry to have bothered you.

p.s. just in case... I have to mention that answering this survey does not guarantee you a spot in the show, I'd still need an official entry form completed. Sorry, just thought I should say that. :)
